Auditions for RVA Web Series

Lea Ruwaldt, a recent graduate from University of Richmond, has just returned from UCLA's Summer MFA TV writing program and is working to bring life to a new show called The Red Cup Chronicles/The Spinsters. A comedy that is the Millennial version of Odd Mom Out. We follow our main protagonist who fully embraces being young, confident, and in college as she tries to find her place in her group of friends, whose insecurities cause them to act like college spinsters, the grandmas of the millennial generation and the oddballs compared to the rest of their preppy private school. This comedy is all about people trying to figure out how to exist in a world in which they clearly don't fit, while making the most out of the best years of their lives.

We will be filming a thirst-minute pilot, which will be released in parts. The first season is 10 episodes. Shooting dates will be chosen once all cast and crew are established.

The majority of locations for the first season will be in Richmond, VA.

Very open to working with student schedules and will break shooting dates into blocks so the schedule can stay flexible and easily accessible.

AUDITIONS WILL BE HELD Friday and Sunday, September 16th and 18th. From 10am to 6pm. EMAIL ME (lea.ruwaldt@richmond.edu) name, headshot and we can set up specific time slots.

I am looking for both male and female actors. The only compensation I can offer until Crowd fund begins is experience and exposure. When emailed I will send you information regarding the female and male principals throughout Season One and in the pilot that are available for audition.

WALK-INS ARE WELCOME as well from 10am to 2pm both days. EMAIL ME for location information.

Your audition will be filmed to see how well one handles themselves in front of the camera.

To give an idea there are 6 male characters in the pilot and 7 female principal leads.

Email Lea at lea.ruwaldt@richmond.edu
