A Crowd of VCU at Richmond Triangle Players
As Rams, we're taught to be loud and proud with whatever we aspire to do, and that's just what our students and alumni have done over at Richmond Triangle Players. The Boy From OZ tells the life story of Peter Allen, an Academy Award wining Singer/Songwriter, whose rise to fame and fatal illness never muted his authentic charisma. In this production, in collaboration with many Richmond theatre artists, numerous affiliated with VCU helped transform a beautiful life into a beautiful show.
With Artistic Direction from Noreen Barnes (Director of Graduate Studies for TheatreVCU) and Direction & Choreography from Justin Amellio (MFA Graduate, Movement Pedagogy), TheatreVCU stands strong in the Scott's Addition-based production with many other credits:
Frank Foster (Scenic Designer) - MFA, Scenic Design
